IMSA North Soccer Team Triumphs as Conference Champions!

Exciting news from the Indiana Math and Science Academy North! Our soccer team has made history by claiming the Conference Title in the Greater Indianapolis Athletic Conference (GIAC).

This past Saturday, September 21, our mighty Knights showcased their skill and determination in a thrilling semifinal game against Mooresville Christian Academy. Thanks to a game-winning shot from junior Giovani Abel, IMSA secured a spot in the championship match later that day.

In the championship game, senior captain Hector Braimoh delivered an unforgettable moment with a decisive penalty kick, sealing the victory for our team. Senior goalie Erick Claros was instrumental throughout the tournament, achieving a clean sheet in both matches. The defense was anchored by Gavin Deleon, Alan Mejia, Desmound Nwi-Ue, and Peter Tepas, who demonstrated exceptional teamwork and tenacity.  Special recognition goes to Folajimi, whose hard work and support for his teammates did not go unnoticed. 

Coaches Harrell and Jolliff expressed their pride in the team’s performance and dedication.

To celebrate this outstanding achievement, the IMSA community assembled for a pep rally at the end of the instructional day on Monday. During the pep rally, Athletic Director Terrance Johnson thanked Coach Harrell and Coach Jolliff for developing IMSA North’s soccer program over the past several years.  Then Coach Harrell and Coach Jolliff took time to recognize the players and the student body cheered with excitement.

Let’s come together to recognize our remarkable student-athletes and their incredible journey to becoming conference champions!
