Spoken Word Contest

Spoken Word Contest

The Spoken Word Contest held Saturday, March 3,2018, at the downtown Indianapolis, library was an awesome experience! Our performers were surprised to see so many staff members present to support them! While we did not come away with any trophies this year, the entire day was a win and a positive learning experience for those who have never participated in an event such as this. Cameron Rowell had such a good time that he has committed to another year in the poetry club.  Schools from various parts of Ohio stole the show. Concept schools from Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana participated in this contest. This was the first year that we did not win in any category. Sigh, oh well, there is always next year. Students who were involved were: Ayatallah Palmer, Kaleisha Williams, LaTavia Rivers, and Cameron Rowell. Please wish them well for their efforts when you see them this week at school!
