  • Public College Preparatory Charter School opened in August 2010
  • Charter authorized by City of Indianapolis Mayor’s Office
  • Serving nearly 700 students in grades K-12 in 2015-2016
  • Average class size of 25 students with a student to teacher ratio of 12:1
  • Tuition-Free and open to everyone
  • Longer school year of 185 days (longer than traditional school calendar of 180 days)
  • School day begins at 8:30am and ends at 3:45pm (instructional time: 8:30am-4:30pm including enrichment)
  • All classroom teachers and professional support staff are appropriately certified in Indiana
  • Managed by a board of trustees
  • Concept Schools (Nonprofit Organization in Chicago)

   ACADEMIC SUCCESSES:

  • In 2012-2013, IMSA North was one of only a few schools receiving an “A” ranking by the Indiana Department of Education.
  • City County Council Cited Indiana Math and Science Academy North in a resolution dated November 15, 2013 for Outstanding Performance at CONSEF.
  • IMSA North earned Highest Individual Score on a Team in Mathcounts Chapter Contest

Our mission is to prepare our students for college by creating an effective learning community of higher standards and expectations with a rigorous curriculum focusing on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
